How this site is written and checked.
Who writes the pages, where every number comes from, what the site never says, and how to report a mistake.
Who writes it
Diogo Camera is the online fitness coach behind Diogo Fitness, and his name is on every article. The articles are drafted and fact-checked with the help of software tools, and every page that states a fact goes through a second, independent check before it is published. Diogo reviews the articles as the coach who stands behind them. His read can come after a page is live; when it changes something, the page is corrected and its date moves.
Every number has a source
- Each number and each research claim traces to a primary source: the agency or publisher that owns the data, such as the CDC, NOAA or the Census Bureau, or the published study itself, not a blog that repeats it.
- The source is named in the text, and each article lists its sources at the end with a link and the date they were accessed.
- Every figure carries its year or period, because “latest” is not a date. A model-based estimate is called an estimate.
- When two figures’ margins of error or confidence intervals overlap, the page doesn’t call one higher than the other.
- Before a page is published, a second check, separate from the one that drafted it, fetches each source again and compares every number with it. A fact that can’t be confirmed is cut, not softened.
How quotes are handled
Quotes from a source are short, at most 15 words, word for word, and credited to the source they come from. Each one is matched against the source’s own text before the page goes out. Anything longer is summarized in plain words instead of pasted.
What the site never does
- Publish what coaching costs. That conversation happens one-to-one in a direct message, never on a page.
- Promise a result. No outcome, timeline, weight change or body change is promised, and there are no countdowns or invented scarcity.
- Invent proof. No made-up testimonials, client counts, credentials or reviews. There are no client results or testimonials on the site right now. If any are added, they will come from real clients who gave written permission, shown with a statement of what results clients typically get.
- Go past general education. Articles are general education and not medical advice. The health, results and coaching disclaimer covers the limits in full, including which photos are of Diogo and which images are illustrations.
How dates work
Each page shows the date its own text last changed. That date moves only when the page’s title, description or main text changes; a change to the menu, the footer or the code behind the page leaves it alone. An article says “Published” until its first real change and “Updated” after that.
Scope of practice
Diogo is an online fitness coach and a Health Science student at St. Thomas University. He is not a doctor, registered dietitian, physical therapist or mental-health professional, coaching is not treatment, and nothing on this site diagnoses or treats a condition.
Who to see instead: talk with your doctor before starting a new exercise program, especially if you have a health condition or an injury, or you are pregnant. If something hurts during training, stop and get it checked. If you are struggling with substance use or your mental health, please reach out to a licensed professional; the disclaimer lists free, confidential helplines.
Found a mistake?
To report an error, email diogo@diogofit.com or send a DM on Instagram (@diogo.camera), with the page and what looks wrong. A link to the source you’re reading helps. If the source confirms it, the page is corrected and its date moves.
Writers and researchers looking for the site’s data tables, with their sources and CSV files, will find them in one place: data tables for writers.
