My story

I’m Diogo. I’ve been where you are.

I’m Diogo Camera, a 23-year-old online fitness coach based in South Florida. I used to build my days around comfort. Now I help people build theirs around structure.

Brazilian. Health Science student at St. Thomas University.

The short version

I didn’t get here by being naturally disciplined.

I’m 23, Brazilian, living in South Florida and studying Health Science at St. Thomas University. I coach people online who want fitness to fit their real life.

I got here by spending a long time doing the opposite, and then deciding to stop. The video is the 70-second version. Below it is the full story. It’s honest, a little embarrassing, and the reason I coach the way I do.

From the video, in my words. Recorded June 2026.

What’s up guys, Diogo here. A lot of you have seen my transformation over the years, but not everyone knows the story behind it.

I’m Brazilian, 22 years old, and I’m an online coach, but trust me, I wasn’t always the guy that you see today. I had a rough time and I was stuck. I struggled with procrastination, bad influences, and I also got caught up on drugs. Every single day, I just felt like I was watching my life slip away from the person who I truly wanted to become.

One day, I stopped making excuses. I realized nobody was coming to save me, and that if my life was going to change, I needed to take action.

And so what did I do? I started small. I implemented small habits into my life. I showed up to the gym every single day, even if I didn’t feel like going. I cleaned up my diet, I stayed consistent. And those small decisions that I took not only transformed my body, but it transformed my life.

And now, my mission is to help others do the same. If you’re tired of starting over, tired of making excuses, and you’re ready to become the person that you know you’re capable of being, then send me a DM with the word transform, and let’s get to work.

I

Comfort first

Before fitness, I was unhealthy, unstructured and chasing whatever felt good right now. Marijuana, kratom, nicotine, alcohol, hours of scrolling, nights at the kava bar.

I told myself I was young. That this is what being young is for, and that I’d get serious later.

II

The beach

One day at the beach I got way higher than I meant to. I stopped surfing and, for the first time in a long while, actually thought about where my life was going.

I was overweight. I had no real goals. I was surrounded by people who weren’t pushing me anywhere. And I was so out of it that my parents had to come pick me up, because I couldn’t take care of myself.

That was embarrassing. It was also exactly what I needed. The embarrassment made me take an honest look at myself.

III

The next day

The next day I went back to the gym, and I stayed consistent.

Here’s the strange part. I already knew about training and dieting. I’d just written it all off, because I thought what I was doing was freedom.

It wasn’t. It was a loop of cheap dopamine, comfort, short-term pleasure and wasted potential.

IV

What it gave me

Fitness gave me back a lot of things I didn’t know I was missing.

  • Structure
  • Purpose
  • Self-respect
  • Community
  • Mental clarity
  • Confidence

It also gave me proof. Action plus discipline can change your life. If I can change, then so can others.

V

Why I coach the way I do

I know the gap between knowing what to do and actually living it, because I stood in it. That’s why I don’t flip your whole routine upside down. I build small habits around the life you already have. Consistency beats perfection, and small things add up.

I also don’t want you to need me forever. The point is that you understand the system well enough to take care of yourself.

On the mat

Training isn’t only about how you look.

Wrestling is part of my background, so performance is something I understand, not just fat loss and muscle. If your goal is to get stronger, faster or better at a sport, that’s a goal I’m glad to coach.

How coaching works

The journey

Follow it in public.

The progress, the lessons and the work behind them. No staged transformations, no fake motivation.

What I care about

Ten words I try to live by.

  1. 01

    Structure

A plan that tells you what’s next, so you’re not starting from scratch every morning.

  2. 02

    Consistency

Showing up on the boring days is what actually moves things.

  3. 03

    Discipline

Doing what you said you would, even when you don’t feel like it.

  4. 04

    Accountability

Because motivation is unreliable and someone checking in isn’t.

  5. 05

    Self-respect

Keeping promises to yourself, starting with the small ones.

  6. 06

    Purpose

A reason that’s bigger than the number on the scale.

  7. 07

    Community

You’re not supposed to figure this out alone.

  8. 08

    Mental clarity

Training clears your head, and everything else gets easier to think about.

  9. 09

    Sustainable progress

Results you can keep, at a pace you can hold.

  10. 10

    Personal responsibility

I’ll do my part. You do yours.

First-hand experience

I’ve done the work myself.

I coach what I’ve lived: the training, the nutrition tracking and the difference between knowing it and doing it. I’m also studying Health Science at St. Thomas University.

  • Fat loss
  • Muscle gain
  • Cutting
  • Bulking
  • Strength training
  • Wrestling
  • Performance
  • Nutrition tracking

Mission

Help people who repeatedly start over build sustainable fitness, nutrition and lifestyle habits they can actually maintain.

Vision

Give you enough structure and knowledge that you can take care of yourself, without depending on a coach forever.

One honest note. I’m a fitness coach. I’m not a doctor, dietitian, therapist or addiction counselor, and coaching isn’t treatment. I’m open about my past because it explains how I coach, not because it makes me an expert on yours. If you’re dealing with something that needs treatment, a licensed professional is the right call.

If I can change, so can you.

Tired of starting over? Let’s figure out what’s been holding you back and what you can do differently.
