Online fitness coaching for people in Delaware

Delaware sits near the middle of these pages for the commute and the share who lift, a little above it for the share reporting no activity, with a median age above the middle and one of the higher household broadband shares. It is a small, connected, slightly older state. Coaching for Delaware is about a plan that fits a commuting week and progresses at a pace that respects recovery. Diogo is based in South Florida and coaches online. Delaware is on Eastern time, the same as me.

How Delaware trains, per the CDC's state survey

In 2023, 38.6% of adults in Delaware reported muscle-strengthening activities on 2 or more days a week (BRFSS, 95% CI 36.4 to 40.9). In 2025, 23.6% reported no leisure-time physical activity at all (BRFSS, 95% CI 21.8 to 25.5).

Daily life in Delaware, by the numbers

From the Census Bureau's American Community Survey, published value and margin of error together: about 15.0% of workers who live here work from home (90% margin of error plus or minus 0.4); commuters average 26.0 minutes to work (90% margin of error plus or minus 0.3); the median age is 41.6 years (90% margin of error plus or minus 0.2); 92.4% of households have a broadband subscription (90% margin of error plus or minus 0.4). How coaching works from a distance

Diogo is based in South Florida and coaches online. Your workouts live in the Trainerize app, you weigh in twice a week, you send progress photos every two weeks, and we talk on a weekly call scheduled around your time zone. Between calls, you can message me with questions.

I commute to Wilmington or Philadelphia. Where does training fit?

On the ends of the drive and on the days you do not make it. Delaware’s commute sits in the middle of these pages and about one worker in seven works from home, so most weeks have an office day with a morning or an evening and a home day with a midday window. The plan writes two or three sessions into whichever windows the week actually has, forty minutes each around the big movements, with the weekend carrying the longest one, and it names the smallest version for the day the schedule flips. Between calls you message me when the week changes. Coaching for a busy week is the shape of it.

Nearly a quarter of adults here do nothing. What is the first month?

Two short sessions and a walk, and nothing heroic. The state survey puts Delaware a little above the middle of these pages for adults reporting no leisure-time activity and near the middle for adults lifting twice a week, so a lot of weeks here start from the beginning or close to it. The first month is two sessions of six movements, weights that feel too easy on purpose, and a daily walk with a floor you can hit on a bad day; the loads start going up in week three, and the third session arrives when the first two have held for a month. Coaching for beginners is that month with someone reading your numbers.

I am past forty. Is the program any different for me?

It progresses more carefully and it recovers on purpose. Delaware’s median age is above the middle of these pages, and the plan assumes you want to be training in ten years rather than peaking in ten weeks, so the program adds a rep or a set before it adds weight, keeps most sets inside a comfortable range, and treats a recovery day as part of the plan rather than a missed one. Delaware has one of the higher household broadband shares on these pages, so the app and the weekly call are never the hard part. If something hurts or a doctor is managing a condition, that comes first. Progressive overload, explained is the mechanism.
