Online fitness coaching for people in Kansas
Kansas has one of the shorter commutes on these pages, a small share of people working from home, a median age a little below the middle, and a share of adults who lift that sits just under it. It is an in-office, short-drive, early-start state. Coaching for Kansas is about turning a free evening into a session with a direction. Diogo is based in South Florida and coaches online. Kansas is on Central time, an hour behind me, except four counties on the Colorado line that keep Mountain time.
How Kansas trains, per the CDC's state survey
In 2023, 38.5% of adults in Kansas reported muscle-strengthening activities on 2 or more days a week (BRFSS, 95% CI 37.2 to 39.8). In 2025, 20.6% reported no leisure-time physical activity at all (BRFSS, 95% CI 19.6 to 21.7).

How coaching works from a distance
Diogo is based in South Florida and coaches online. Your workouts live in the Trainerize app, you weigh in twice a week, you send progress photos every two weeks, and we talk on a weekly call scheduled around your time zone. Between calls, you can message me with questions.
I am home by half past five. Why is the evening still not enough?
Because an evening is not a plan. Kansas has one of the shorter commutes on these pages and one of the smaller work-from-home shares, which describes an office-and-drive week with the evenings genuinely free; what is usually missing is a decision about which evenings, what happens in them, and what the smallest version is when the day went badly. The plan makes those decisions in advance: two or three named evenings, forty minutes each around the big movements, and a floor for the bad ones. The weekly call checks whether the named evenings held and moves them when the week changes. Consistency without motivation is the thinking behind it.
Fewer than four in ten people here lift. Where would I start?
With the smallest week that counts. The state survey puts Kansas a little under the middle of these pages for adults lifting twice a week and near the middle for adults reporting no activity, so most weeks here start from the beginning or close to it. The first month is two sessions of six movements, weights that feel too easy on purpose, and a daily walk with a floor you can hit on a bad day; the progression starts in week three, when the movements are familiar. Starting smaller than you think is how the people who are still training in a year started. Coaching for beginners is that first month with someone reading your numbers.
You are an hour ahead of me. How does the weekly call work?
Easily, and in your favor. The call is scheduled in your time, so a Kansas evening is late enough in mine to be quiet, and a message you send at the end of your day is waiting for me early in mine. Most of Kansas is on Central time, an hour behind South Florida; a few counties on the western line are on Mountain time, two hours behind, and the plan simply asks which one you are in. The median age here is a little below the middle of these pages and most households have the connection the app and the call need, so nothing about the setup is the hard part. What online fitness coaching actually is walks through it.
