Online fitness coaching for people in Nevada
Nevada works in the office, on the floor and on the night shift more than most states on these pages: its work-from-home share is among the smaller ones, and a lot of its weeks do not run nine to five. The state survey says a good share of adults already lift twice a week. Coaching for Nevada is about a plan that follows a rotating schedule instead of fighting it. Diogo is based in South Florida and coaches online. Nevada is on Pacific time, three hours behind me, apart from West Wendover on Mountain; the call is scheduled around your clock, whatever your shift.
How Nevada trains, per the CDC's state survey
In 2023, 42.9% of adults in Nevada reported muscle-strengthening activities on 2 or more days a week (BRFSS, 95% CI 39.8 to 46.1). In 2024, 23.2% reported no leisure-time physical activity at all (BRFSS, 95% CI 20.7 to 25.9).
Daily life in Nevada, by the numbers
From the Census Bureau's American Community Survey, published value and margin of error together: about 11.9% of workers who live here work from home (90% margin of error plus or minus 0.3); commuters average 24.8 minutes to work (90% margin of error plus or minus 0.2); the median age is 39.1 years (90% margin of error plus or minus 0.1); 92.0% of households have a broadband subscription (90% margin of error plus or minus 0.2). State figures: your own city may differ.
How coaching works from a distance
Diogo is based in South Florida and coaches online. Your workouts live in the Trainerize app, you weigh in twice a week, you send progress photos every two weeks, and we talk on a weekly call scheduled around your time zone. Between calls, you can message me with questions.
I work nights or rotating shifts. Can a plan follow that?
A plan written in sessions can. Nevada has one of the smaller work-from-home shares on these pages, which usually means fixed hours out of the house, and for a lot of people here those hours move week to week. So the plan says which sessions happen this week, not which days, and the weekly call is where we place them around the schedule you have been given. A session after a night shift counts the same as one after a day shift; your body does not know what time the sun says it is.
Nevada already lifts. What changes with a coach?
The program gets a direction and a witness. The state survey puts Nevada among the higher shares of adults lifting two or more days a week, and the pattern after showing up is a plan that never changes. Coaching adds enough weekly work for each muscle, progression you can see in the logbook, and someone who reads it. Almost a quarter of adults here report no activity at all, by the latest year the CDC publishes for the state; for them the first month is a different page.
What does a Nevada summer do to the plan?
It moves the outdoor work to first light or after dark and keeps the lifting indoors, the same thing my own summer does in South Florida. Most Nevada households have a broadband subscription, so the weekly call and the app are never the problem, and the median age here sits in the middle of these pages, so the plan progresses by reps and sets before weight.
