Online fitness coaching for people in South Carolina

South Carolina lifts. By the state survey it has one of the higher shares of adults doing strength work twice a week on these pages, alongside one of the smaller work-from-home shares and a slightly older median age. That is a state of people who already go to the gym after work and want the sessions to add up to something. Coaching here is about progression, not permission. How South Carolina trains, per the CDC's state survey

In 2023, 44.3% of adults in South Carolina reported muscle-strengthening activities on 2 or more days a week (BRFSS, 95% CI 42.9 to 45.7). In 2025, 22.9% reported no leisure-time physical activity at all (BRFSS, 95% CI 20.7 to 25.3).

Daily life in South Carolina, by the numbers

From the Census Bureau's American Community Survey, published value and margin of error together: about 11.5% of workers who live here work from home (90% margin of error plus or minus 0.2); commuters average 25.6 minutes to work (90% margin of error plus or minus 0.1); the median age is 40.2 years (90% margin of error plus or minus 0.2); 88.8% of households have a broadband subscription (90% margin of error plus or minus 0.2). How coaching works from a distance

Diogo is based in South Florida and coaches online. Your workouts live in the Trainerize app, you weigh in twice a week, you send progress photos every two weeks, and we talk on a weekly call scheduled around your time zone. Between calls, you can message me with questions.

I already lift three or four days a week. What changes with a coach?

The program gets a direction. South Carolina is among the higher states on these pages for adults lifting two or more days a week, and the pattern I see from people who already train is a plan that never changes: the same four sessions for years and the same body in the mirror. Coaching adds enough weekly work for the muscles you care about, progression you can see in the logbook, effort you can judge, and someone who reads it every week. A fair share of adults here still report no activity at all; for them the first month looks different, and that page covers it.

My job is in the office and my evenings are short. Where do sessions go?

Into two or three slots you choose, not five you miss. South Carolina has one of the smaller work-from-home shares on these pages and a middling commute, so the plan is written for a gym on the way home, an early session on the days that start late, and one longer session on the weekend. Each one is forty minutes and built around the big movements; none needs a free evening. The weekly call is where the next week gets placed.

Upstate, Midlands, the coast: does where I live change anything?

Only the heat, and the plan handles that the same way it does mine in South Florida: outdoor work early or late in summer, lifting indoors all year, the outdoor sessions back when the weather turns. Most South Carolina households have a broadband subscription, which is all the weekly call needs, and the median age here, a little older than most states listed, shows up as progression paced for recovery.
